Deborah Morton Society, University of New England collection, 2000-2007.

The collection contains papers related mainly to the Deborah Morton Society, namely steering committee lists, a nomination worksheet, programs for the society convocation ceremonies (2000, 2004-2006), a society newsletter (vol. 3, no. 3, July 2004), and personal thank yous from award winners. Other miscellaneous documents include official letters from the University of New England president to alumni, friends, and supporters; an obituary for Louise Parker James clipped from the Portland Press Herald; and a photocopy of a Down East magazine article about the university. The collection was compiled by Joyce Butler, a previous recipient of the award, and a member of the steering committee.
